Responsibilities:

  • Direct Teaching
    • To assess each client’s functional and educational needs
    • To develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEP) for each client
    • To prepare and implement individual and group lesson plans
    • To prepare teaching environment and materials prior to teaching sessions
    • To apply appropriate and effective teaching methodology
    • To collect learning data in a timely manner
    • To support caregiver collaboration in the classroom
    • To work collaboratively with Therapists and Co-Teachers to support each client’s learning needs
    • To prepare and share individual Progress Reports during 6-monthly case reviews
  •  

  • Other Duties
    • To provide supervision and guidance to new teachers
    • To attend both internal and external training workshops and courses to enhance content knowledge and skills, and where applicable, to conduct sharing sessions
    • To ensure the learning environment is safe and risk-reduced

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Pre-school Teaching or equivalent
  • Relevant teaching experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Desire to learn about Autism and expand knowledge base
  • Passion to work with young children and their families to maximize their talents and potential
  • Working Location: Eden Children’s Centre – Clementi (Blk 374 Clementi Ave 4 #01-182 S120374)
