AA(S) 19th Annual General Meeting

The 19th Autism Association (Singapore) Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 30 June 2012. Prior to the AGM, we had three distinguished speakers, namely, Ms Denise Phua, Mr Loh Wei Yang and Mr Sarayanan giving a talk on Autism for Adults - Preparing for the Adult Years. The speakers provided an insight to the progress update and challenges faced in a few areas critical in preparing people with autism as they grow older. There were also ideas and tips on what families can do to enhance the quality of life of their children as both parents and children transit to the next season of their lives.

The AGM then kicked off with the progress, performances and future plans for the two Children’s Centres, Adult Centre, and Eden School. Mr Ho Swee Huat, Chairman of the AA(S) Board of Management, continued by sharing the financial performance of AA(S).

An election was held to select a new board of management for the period from June 2012 to June 2014. The members appointed are as follows:

AA(S) takes this opportunity to welcome Mr Ang Wei Neng onto the Board of Management, and also would like to express our deepest gratitude to Ms Margaret Chua to her invaluable contributions to AA(S) before stepping down.
